Timber Ridge Lodge
Getting to Timber Ridge Lodge requires riding a gondola to the top of the mountain. Guests should plan to board the gondola in River Run Village between 4:10 pm and 4:20 pm. It takes approximately 20 minutes to arrive at the lodge.

Tips to avoid altitude sickness
The best way to treat altitude sickness is to plan ahead.
1. Monitor the macchiatos and beers
Avoid or limit caffeinated drinks, such as coffee and tea, one day before leaving for your trip. Avoid or limit alcohol before departing for your trip too.
2. Drink twice as much water
One of the best ways to help your body adjust to high altitude is to drink plenty of water.
Also, eat more carbohydrates.
3. Acclimate before heading up
Adjusting to a higher altitude can take a day or two, so if you’re not in any hurry, plan to take it slow and spend a couple nights at an intermediate altitude. This will give your body time to adapt to a lower level of oxygen and pressure.
